*Charles A. Hayes Family Investment Center, Chicago, Illinois
Complete rehabilitation of 25,000 square-foot building (interior and exterior,) while adding 5,000 square-feet to the building structure.
*Reliance Building Restoration, Chicago, Illinois
Complete exterior restoration of this historic (circa 1895) 16-story, 80,000-square-foot office building. Project entailed the replacement of approximately 2,000 terracotta units with new terracotta units designed to match the originals exactly as well as the repair of some 800 original terracotta units that remained in place. The Reliance Building enjoys landmark status in the City of Chicago, the State of Illinois, and the National Register.
*Mita Copystar, Wood Dale, Illinois
Interior renovation of a 9,500-square-foot office/showroom. Completed ahead of schedule and well within the budget.
*Douglas Park Apartments, Chicago, Illinois
Interior and exterior renovation of a 24-unit apartment complex. Completed on-time and within budget.
*Federal Home Loan Mortgage Corporation (Freddie Mac), Chicago, Illinois
Interior and exterior renovation of a bank-owned residential property.
*Verio Chicago, Chicago, Illinois
Renovation of approx. 15,000-square-feet facility (one floor of what is considered the computer hotel). This space serves as a high- tech facility for web hosting, which necessitated integration of the latest technology in security.
*SBC/Ameritech New Facilities and Maintenance Project , Chicago, Illinois
Built new communication facilities that included mechanical and electrical maintenance as well as renovation of existing facilities.
*Bolingbrook Corporate Center- Speculative Building # 2, Bolingbrook, Illinois
New construction of a 284,000-square-foot precast warehouse that included site development. This warehouse will serve as a build-to-suit structure that may be divided into as many as three different tenant spaces.
Detailed Project Experience
*Chicago Board of Education General Contracting Services Project, Chicago, Illinois
Constructed new annex buildings and completed renovation and rehabilitation of existing facilities.
*The Ancona School Addition and Renovation, Chicago, Illinois
Constructed a new 15,000-square-foot, two-story, steel-frame and single-width masonry retrofit addition to the school. The project also included renovation of the existing 1,000-square-foot facility, consisting of internal partitions, new lighting, new boilers and the remodeling of a multipurpose room (gymnasium).
*McCormick Place Expansion/Concrete Substructure, Chicago, Illinois
Constructed one million square feet of foundation and infrastructure work for the new McCormick Place North Hall. The foundation supports the three-story convention center, which contains a total of three million square feet. Built a 615-lineal-foot ramp to access this facility. Constructed crash walls and wall footings, a 770-foot underground storm water retention system and a concrete structure for fire protection reservoirs.
*CID Material Recovery and Recycling Center and West-side Material Recovery and Recycling Center, Calumet City and Chicago, Illinois
Construction of two material recovery and recycling facilities. Work consists of supplying all concrete necessary to build cast-in-place concrete foundations. Poured more than 20,000 cubic yards of concrete to complete these projects. Excavation and selected demolition were also provided. These facilities were constructed on a fast-track schedule and the project finished on time.
*Nanking Tire, Bolingbrook, Illinois
Executed a 20,000-square-feet warehouse facility including a 5,000-square-feet office build out.
*City of Chicago Vehicle Maintenance Facility, Chicago, Illinois
New construction of this state-of-the-art masonry and steel fleet maintenance facility for maintaining and washing of refuse trucks and off-road equipment. The LEED goal is "Silver" Certification for this facility and incorporates a solar thermal water heating system.
*Dan Ryan Expressway Project, Chicago, Illinois
Provided pavement and barrier replacement as well as reconstruction of local access roads.
*McCormick Place Convention Center, Chicago, Illinois
Executed new construction of North Hall access ramp. New ramp will tie into the 22nd Street bridge allowing ease of access to the North Hall of McCormick Place Convention Center.
*Englewood Senior Center, Chicago, Illinois
Executed new construction of this 9,600-square-feet facility that will serve as a recreation center for senior citizens. The structure has a unique, contemporary design appearing as two buildings with a skylight corridor joining the two. Also provided brickwork on the west building, along with being all soldier courses, has all radius corners.
*West Englewood Branch Library, Chicago, Illinois
Executed construction of a new 8,000-square-feet library facility. This steel structure with brick and block back-up is one of the first environmental friendly facilities in the City of Chicago. This facility also incorporates a Reading Park.
*Costco Wholesale Store, Schaumburg & Oak Brook, Illinois
Executed new construction of a 160,000-square-feet wholesale warehouse facility. Completed in 128 days. This 30 ft. high structure was composed of steel framing and a brick facade. Included office build-out and warehouse.
*Trinity United Church of Christ, Chicago, Illinois
Executed in two phases: Phase One, constructed two-story sanctuary totaling 89,000 square feet; Phase Two, completed over 90,000 square feet of interior build-out, which included a modern commercial kitchen facility.
*Chicago Bee Building Library, Chicago, Illinois
Executed complete interior demolition and renovation of this 7,211-square-feet historical landmark. The building serves as a library on the ground floor and a family literacy center, complete with a computer lab, on the second floor. Also, installed and elevator system and other accessories to make this facility 100% ADA accessible.
